Summertime finds Fredensborg Herrgård filled with happy families visiting our area, thanks mainly to Astrid Lindgren's World. The nature surrounding the manor house is idyllic – typical to Småland and ideal for children who love to run around.
Astrid Lindgren’s World, this amazing theatre park where you can experience Astrid’s stories in real life, every year attracts nearly 500,000 visitors. In order to discover everything over the course of a couple of days, without having to rush and being able to add some of the other attractions, you need to sleep and eat well. The Fredensborg Herrgård offers attractive family packages including breakfast and comfortable overnight accommodation in a charming country manor.
Back at the hotel, the children have their own play area and we can also organise an indoor playroom. Our lake, Gissen, is right next door if you would like to take a swim and boats can be borrowed FREE on-site. On top of that, we offer facilities for mini golf, tennis, golf and a whole lot more.
At our restaurant, there is always a menu to suit both young and old and in the summertime you might prefer to sit outside at a table in the manor park so that the adult can linger a little longer, digesting their food while children play nearby.
Our family rooms are available on the ground floor in the conference section and that means they are just a few steps away from the manor park. The rooms are relatively small but this is compensated for by all the other available space both inside and outside the hotel.
